Melbourne Community Garden Activation | Urban Reforestation

A sustainable design and social innovation project,Urban Reforestation’s Community Garden was based in the new and developing waterfront residential and commercial precinct of Docklands, Melbourne, and leveraged placemaking and service design principles to build community and share knowledge around sustainable lifestyles. The garden was the platform through which educational and culture change-oriented community engagement and programming was launched.

Emily Ballytine-Brodie, Urban Reforestation founder and designer, brought me on to supporting the organization in a communications and strategy capacity. I also co-designed community engagement programming, such as community days at the garden, and I facilitated sustainable lifestyle workshops around composting, urban gardening and more.
